Kingsley, a 2 year old Bernedoodle has joined OffLeash SoCal for our 3 week board and train program. Kingsley is a friendly and energetic boy. He is easily distracted, lacks following commands, pulls on the leash, excessively barks, etc. Over the next 3 weeks Kingsley will be working on his off leash obedience and manners. Check in to see his progress!
Today I introduced and conditioned Kingsley to the ecollar. We practiced commands Sit and Down. He very good on his first day of training! He is having so much fun with his new furry friends!
Kingsley working on a new command, Place. The place command is where Kingsley has to sit or lay on an object. This command is great for building confidence as well as teaching him to be relaxed and calm. Kingsley is getting better with the crate.
Today Kingsley and I went to the park to work on his obedience commands. We practiced come to sit and place. We started working on a new command, Heel. It's still a work in progress, but he is walking a lot better now. He is not trying to drag me while we walk anymore.
Today Kingsley and I worked on his commands around the neighborhood. We practiced come to sit, place, and heel. Kingsley is doing an awesome job with his training!
Today we stayed home for training. Kingsley worked on all his commands: come to sit, place, down, and heel. It was a bit hot, so I took Kingsley over to a friends house for a doggie pool party. He loved splashing in the water. He went in on the first step and pawed at the water.
Today Kingsley and I went to the park to work on his commands. We started working on duration (making him hold commands longer). He did great today! Other dogs walked past us and he didn’t break command or try to run up to say hi. Some one approached us and complimented Kingsley on how well behaved he was.
Kingsley getting closer to being off leash! today I didn't even hold the leash, I let him drag it around while I gave him commands. I was able to walk away farther than the length of the leash and Kingsley stayed in command. Kingsley learned a new command
Today Kingsley and I went to the Block at Orange to work around high distractions. He was a bit nervous at first, but after we walked around for a bit Kingsley calmed down. He did a great job today!
Today Kingsley and I went to the park to work on his off leash obedience. He is doing such a great job! people and dogs are no longer an interest for him. He can walk right past them without looking or wanting to go up to them and say hi. They can walk by Kingsley while he’s in a command and he doesn’t even attempt to break his command.
Today Kingsley and I stayed home and worked on his off leash obedience. We started practicing for his Canine Good Citizen test. He must pass all 10 requirements. We also worked on his food manners, making him wait until I give him the okay to eat.
my apologies for t late post. I got some hand injuries the night before. Today one of the other trainers helped me out and took Kingsley out to train. Kingsley worked on his obedience at Home Depot.
Kingsley working on his off leash obedience at the Citadel Outlets with OffLeash SoCal trainer, Haley.
Kingsley and I enjoying the day out in Huntington Beach while working on his off leash obedience.
Kingsley joined me on a shopping spree at the Fashion Island mall. He did an awesome job with his off leash obedience. People stopped and watched him while he was working. They were all impressed on how well behaved he was!
Today Kingsley took the day off from training and enjoyed the day playing and hanging out with his friends. He can’t wait to go home and show you all he has learned!
