Labradoodle - Dog Training | Jax | Yorba Linda, CA

Jax, a Labradoodle from Yorba Linda, CA went through the Balanced Canine Training SoCal Board & Train dog training program. Jax was trained by dog trainer Wyatt Harris in Ontario, CA.

Jax is a 4 month old labradoodle joining us for our 3 week puppy board and train program. He is a bit of a nervous pup who is going to be building some confidence over the next 3 weeks. By learning some fundamental basic commands, potty training and how to walk on a leash Jax will have the foundation he needs to grow up and be the best boy he can be.

Jax is warming up nicely to me and his new spot for the next 3 weeks. We are working on getting him more comfortable with walking on the leash and we also set his potty area.

Jax showed his brave side today by coming out and walking all around the neighborhood with me today. After a day of posting up on all 4 paws and refusing to walk on the leash he showed real progress today. Happy boy after a few laps around.

Two mustache having pups enjoying a long walk out in the sun. Made a pit stop by some sprinklers to cool down. Jax is warming up to me and the other dogs he's around nicely. He's really come out of his shell the last few days.

Jax has totally warmed up to walking on a leash with me. We have started really practicing holding his commands for longer durations until he hears his "Break" command. Jax is getting a bit more confident in himself allowing me to make it a little farther away from him before he runs to me.

A week into training Jax has made some progress walking on a leash. He gets excited to walk if you encourage him but starts to get a little carried away. He is quite a sensitive pup so use of the E-Collar has been light to keep him from stressing out while practicing commands like place and down.

Jax working on door manners today. Rather than bolting out of the front door, we are practicing holding a sit and waiting to be invited into or out of the house.

Jax killing it with potty training. He has been alerting me when he needs to be let outside and is going in the new spot I set up for him almost right away.

Jax with some off leash time today. His recall is improving with every training session. He likes to run around for a while and then gets tired pretty quickly with the new warm weather and wants to take a break.

Jax out early today at the park with Kylo off the leash getting some cardio in before the heat wave hit. More off leash time, Jax is becoming more obedient without a leash guiding him.

Keeping cool while out practicing some off leash heel. We like to work early in the morning and in the evening once the heat gets a little lower. Jax is willing to walk farther when it's nice outside, otherwise he would rather be sitting in the shade relaxing.

Working off leash recall today. Will be practicing some more off leash heeling today once it cools down. Jax is still has happy puppy self as you can see but I have been able to get his happy excited and playful puppy self out more often.

Jax showing off some confidence and his place skills by jumping up here on our walk tonight. Definitely proud of the little guy because he refused to jump up on this until today. The raised level is a more challenging place to complete. Jax gets discouraged if we use too high ecollar pressure so we keep the levels low and he responds much better.

Today we went out and practiced some off leash puppy push ups! Jax is doing great and understands the difference between sit and down so he is willing to go back and forth between the two positions on command. Smart boy!

Jax working his place to place command outside and off leash. The young pup who was way too nervous to jump up on a place object a few weeks ago is confident enough to be sent to hop up on these three different benches without any assistance. Also holding his duration down waiting to hear his release command, "Break".
