Belgian Malinois - Dog Training | Simon | Corona, CA

Simon, a Belgian Malinois mix from Corona, CA., went through the Balanced Canine Training SoCal Two Week Board & Train dog training program. Simon was trained by dog trainer Chris Louie in Norwalk, CA.

I’d like to welcome Simon to OffLeash SoCal for our two week Board and Train program. Simon has joined us because he has no leash manners, and tantrum barks when he wants to get his way. He has a high prey drive and has a hard time snapping out of it when there are any distractions around. Within two weeks, he will be the trusted obedient dog that his parents know that he can be.

Simon got to meet the other pups enrolled in our board and training program today. He is doing really well being around other dogs. Simon didn’t bark at the other pups, and he got to meet everyone. Today we worked on his duration sit, heeling, and greeting new dogs.

Simon said he wanted to play in the pool today, so we got our work done before we played. Simon worked on placing on the jungle gym, and building his confidence to go down the slide. I’d say that Simon is loving his training, and we will continue to harness his energy into his commands.

Simon says sit. This big guy is really starting to show just how good of a pup he can be. He loves to play with the other dogs and has done really well with his socializing. He is one week into his training, and already starting to work through his distraction.

Simon came to help me work dog distractions today and got some great exposure to another dog who is skittish. You can tell Simon is calm and collective, while showing Luca the Doberman how to work through distractions.

Simon is doing great with his training and his confidence is starting to show. I have been working all of his commands every walk we go on to really make them stick. He’s doing exceptionally well.

Simon says sit and be a good boy. This big guy has made leaps and bounds in his training, and is officially PAWSOME.
