Meet the absolutely gorgeous Mia! She is a 9 month old Pit Bull from Santa Fe Springs California. She is a very sweet and smart girl who loves to play and cuddle. She is with us for our Two Week Board and Train Program because she is a big scaredy cat and that contributes to a lot of barking, growling, and pulling when she is in public or new situations. I can't wait to watch her grow and gain some confidence over the next two weeks!

Mia is such a sweetie! She got a little car sick on the way home but is all settled in at the temporary new digs! She was awesome about a quick bath and got to explore the backyard. She was a bit barky/growly the first time Mr. Nico (My Pup) was out and about while she was in the kennel but once he tolerated some sniffs through the kennel door she has been whining/tail wagging playfully anytime he gets near. I will be giving them a few days to get used to each other before they get to meet face to face. Overall she is doing really well with the transition and has completely warmed up to me, I've gotten several snuggles already!
Some pre-bedtime cuddles! She is such a sweet baby girl. She is doing really well in the kennel, ate most of her dinner, and is having a blast exploring all of the new toys and smells in the backyard!

Miss Mia did her first set of lessons today! We got used to the E-Collar and learned her Recall! She did absolutely fantastic, picking up on the whole system really fast. She is all settled in, doing pre-poop zoomies, climbing on all the agility stuff equipment in the backyard, and pausing for cuddles between! She is such a happy girl, I can't wait to get her comfortable enough to be her happy self in public. She is eating great, sleeping great (when the whole neighborhood isn't a chorus of barking at the wind), and over all doing extremely well!

Mia is such a happy girl I absolutely love it! She made a ton of progress today! We did our last session of the day at the shopping center where we practiced, her Heel, Auto-Sit, Recall, and Sit. She did AWESOME! The first couple times a new person or people walked by she was at the end of the lead trying to say high, but by the end of the session she was walking next to me making eye contact with whole groups walking by!

Mia was working really hard today! We did several sessions at the park and she is making a ton of progress. We did an instructional video about her Recall command and how that is supposed to look/how to practice it. Let me know if you guys have any questions about it at all! Overall she is doing really awesome.

Mia now has the basics for all her commands down and is doing them with little to no leash tension! She is such a sweet high energy girl and is starting to look so sharp. She is also getting so much better at eye contact in "high stress" situations and I am so proud of her! During her lesson today there was a little King Cavalier that wasn't being particularly nice at the end of his lead and when I recalled Miss Mia she turned tail got into her left hand position and finished off by giving me both eyes! She got some extra love and cuddles for doing so dang well!

Mia did so great today! She has all her commands figured out and now we are just expanding and building on them while getting her repetitions! She learned Place to Place today. It was so fun getting to watch her figure it out!

Mia had a happy Halloween! She is doing so great. We did her whole lesson with a bunch of kids playing football next to us and even when the ball accidentally went flying past us while she was working on her Place she stayed put! She is getting a really good handle on all her commands and we are just going to be spending the next week getting her to do them everywhere!

Miss Mia got to do some socialization today! She can get a bit intense but with some guidance and a few reminders she plays just great! Mr. Noodle here was a little uncomfortable with her at first and then wanted to mount her, but she was a great sport in helping train him! She is doing really awesome. Between her socialization sessions and practicing a few things at the neighborhood school she was ready to launch herself into the kennel to sleep for the night.

Miss Mia worked on her Distance and Duration for her Sit and Down commands today and did really awesome! She is doing so well! She still occasionally gets a bit over excited and wants to jump but knows how to contain herself if you tell her Off or to Sit. I am so proud of how far she has come in her first full week!

Mia is looking so great! We worked on some distance recalls today! She would chase the ball and roam around sniffing and then drop everything she was doing to come back to my side the moment I asked her! She has come so far in the last two weeks and is going to be so excited to go home this weekend and show off all her new skills!
