Koko, a one year old Tibetan Mastiff, has joined OffLeash SoCal for our One Week Board and Train program. Koko comes to us with lack of following commands, being easily distracted, not properly walking on leash, and nipping. When she decides she doesn’t want to do something she will drop to the floor and not move. Over the next week Koko will be working on her on leash obedience and manners. Check in to see her progress!

Koko has settled in well at my home. She is getting along great with all her new friends. She’s made herself right at home.

Today Koko and I worked on her obedience training at home. We practiced her commands Sit, Down, and Place. Place is a command where Koko must sit or lay on a defined object. This command is great for building confidence as well as teaching her to be calm and relaxed.

Koko gave me a good arm workout. She definitely knows her weight and doesn’t hesitate to use it when she doesn’t want to listen. I out stubborned her and she finally gave in and actually ended up enjoying the place command.

Today Koko and I went to the park to work on her obedience. We met with other offleash SoCal trainers, so Koko was able to work around other dog distractions. We worked on a new command, Heel. She did good with following at my side, but got distracted easily. She gave me a hard time with the Down command, even though that’s her favorite thing to do. She was pooped out after a long day of training.

Today Koko and I went to the park to work on her commands. Koko learned two new commands: Come to Sit and Come to Heel. She is very smart and learns quickly, but she loves to resist and be stubborn. Koko did better with her Down command today.

Today I took Koko to The Citadel Outlet’s to work on her obedience around distractions. She was actually a distraction to everyone there. Koko was a celebrity. She sat nicely while everyone came up to pet and take pictures with her. She did very well her commands today.

Today Koko and I went back to the Citadel Outlets to work on her obedience and do a little shopping. Once again, Koko did a great job with her training! She was very focused and obedient.

Today Koko took the day off of training and enjoyed socializing and hanging out with her friends before she leaves. She went to the groomers to get a bath and blow-dry. Koko has done a great job with her training! She can’t wait to go home and show you everything she has learned!
