Cute Kaya here is settling into camp nicely. We got home and explored the backyard a little bit before it started raining again. We hung out inside for a little while and then went for a walk in between bouts of rain. She's a big spazz on leash, so we'll be working on leash manners asap!

Enjoying a yummy Kong after our evening walk! She's starting to warm up to me, and has allowed some of my roommates to approach and pet her. We worked on place today, and she wasn't a super big fan of the raised cot, but overcame her hesitation quickly. She didn't eat all of her breakfast this morning, but she ate her lunch, and most of her dinner. I'll keep updating on her food if she's not finishing it. We'll be wrapping up our night with some fetch and playtime.

Working on place again this morning! After our morning walk, we're working on following through with commands around other dogs. She's been a little love bug these past few days.

Pupdate 2/15/2020 Beautiful girl during our walk sitting nicely, and then laying down not so nicely 😅. She's a goof ball. I redirected her into a sit, and then back into a proper down.

We stopped by a Walmart tonight to work on holding our downs around things like loud children, and passerbys talking to her.

Kaya was begging for my pizza at dinner time, so I figured it was a good opportunity to work on our food refusal skills. We went on a walk this morning to practice our heel off leash. She struggled with turns, but kept up with all my pace changes. We'll brush up those turns tomorrow.

Cozy gal hanging out this evening. We spent our morning working on place with different things around the house, then this evening we went to downtown Claremont to practice heeling around distractions, and her recall with a long lead around foot traffic.
