Clyde the 5 month old Doberman Pinscher is back for our two week board and train! With his new found confidence he is ready to start learning some fundamental commands that will lead him to becoming a well mannered and obedient young pup. We are so excited to watch his progress.
Clyde working with both an E-Collar and the familiar Sprenger collar on our walk today. The two combined create a powerful training solution to stop Clyde from pulling while on the leash.
Clyde out heeling with his new friend in training, Baxter. They have been enjoying playing with each other when they are taking a break from training. Happy boys!
Learning to double heel. Clyde is going to be more than used to preforming the hee command while next to Bonnie once he gets back home.
Clyde and Kylo hanging out at the park. We did walked a few miles and then had some command practice before letting the dogs run and play for a while as a well deserved reward.
Some off leash heeling out around today with Clyde. He is very attentive to commands while off leash with the help of the E-Collar.
Practicing the down command today. Clyde did not want to lay down and put up a bit of a fight about it at first but over the last few days has stopped fighting it and has even started to lay down without the help of tugging downward on the leash.
Clyde getting some dog socialization in today. We went to the park and played with some other dogs in training along with stopping by my mom's house to meet her dogs. Ghost, Kylo and Clyde all got to play together for a bit to relax after a long training session at the park.
Clyde and I out with the team today getting some socialization in around all kinds of things like dogs, strollers, bikes, joggers, gardeners ECT. He is getting better every day at ignoring all of these distractions.
More dog socialization and getting to work with a few different handlers. Clyde is making progress in ignoring distractions but it takes him extreme focus.
Clyde and I out working early to get ahead of all the fireworks. We spent the evening at home relaxing watching some patriotic movies while practicing some duration place and indoor manners. He wasn't really phased by any of the fireworks by the end of the evening. He's all ready to go home now!
