This is Benji, a 13 month old Labrador Retriever from Redondo Beach, CA. He is here for our two week board and train program! Benji is a smart and sweet pup who loves anyone he meets. Benji goes on a nose-safari so it is difficult to walk him. He also has selective hearing and can be a little bit stubborn at times. Benji chews items like walls, baseboards and even clothes tags! Over two weeks, Benji will learn basic and fundamental obedience so stay tuned for his pawsome pupdates!

Focused on Heel today and he is no longer pulling on the leash so that is a big improvement. He has to now pay attention to where I am located and pay less attention to the distractions around us as we heel. After about 20 minutes of training, he got tired and laid down for a while. He is getting better at Come and Sit. I need to help him up on place objects like the crate in the car and the bench, but he is good at the place cot that is closer to the ground.

Starting tomorrow, I am going to be using a different type of e collar to see if it helps lower the intensity I have been having to give him.
