Bella, a two year old Belgian Malinois, has joined OffLeash SoCal for our Two Week Board and Train program. Bella comes to us knowing her commands but not always following them if distracted, not walking properly on leash, and being reactive towards people, dogs, and cars. Over the two week Bella will be working on her poff leash obedience and manners. Check in to see her progress!
Bella is settling in well at my home. She is getting acquainted with the other dogs. She isn't really too fond of them.
Today Bella and I worked on he obedience at home. I introduced and conditioned her to the ecollar. I wanted to see where she is at with all her training. We went through all the commands. She does know her commands, but doesn’t always want to follow them. We need to work on her duration. Bella will only hold her commands for a short period of time before she breaks and want to come to me.
Today Bella and I went to the park to work on her obedience. We met with other OffLeash SoCal trainers and their dogs, so Bella had plenty of dog distractions to work around. Bella did pretty well. She was a little unsure about being around them, but wasn't reactive towards them. She stayed focused and followed all her commands.
Today Bella and I went to The Citadel Outlets to work on her commands around distractions. It was very busy today and Bella was a little overwhelmed with all the distractions. She listened and obeyed all her commands but wasn’t really focused on me. She was watching everything going on around us. She was a timid around strollers that passed by. After being there for some time, Bella calmed down a little. Bella saw a few dogs while we were there. She was reactive a few times, only towards the other dogs that were barking.

Today Bella and I went to The Hollywood Walk of Fame to work on her obedience around distractions. She was a bit overwhelmed with all the commotion going on around us, so I wasn’t able to let her drag the leash around while we trained. She was still able to focus and follow through with all her commands. Bella received a few compliments on how well behaved she is.

She was a little hesitant around the dogs, but was not reactive. I was able to drop the leash and have her drag it while we worked around all the dogs. She did a very good job today!
Today Bella and I went to the mall to work on her obedience around distractions. The mall was very crowded which made her a bit nervous. All the commotion made it hard for Bella to focus, so we weren't able to work off leash. She still followed through with all her commands.
