Aggie | Goldendoodle | La Habra, CA | In-Training

Aggie, an eight month old Goldendoodle, has joined OffLeash SoCal for our Two Week Board and Train program. He comes to us with typical puppy behavior: little knowledge of commands, being easily distracted, leash pulling, jumping to greet, and play bites. Over the two weeks Aggie will be working on his off leash obedience and manners. Check in to see his progress!

Aggie has settled in well at my home. He is having a blast with all his new friends. He has been running around and playing nonstop since he has been here.

Today Aggie and I worked on his obedience commands at home. I introduced and conditioned him to the ecollar. We practiced commands Sit and Place. Place is a command where Aggie must sit or lay on a defined object. This command is great for building confidence as well as teaching him to be calm and relaxed.

Today Aggie and I went to the park to work on his obedience commands. We practiced Place,

Sit, Down, Come, and Heel. We practiced his duration (holding commands longer). Heel is still a work in progress, but Aggie is walking much better now.

Today Aggie and I worked on his obedience commands around the neighborhood. He learned a new command, Come to Heel. This command is trickier than the rest, but he got the hang of it. Aggie is doing great with his training!

Today Aggie and I went to the park to work on his obedience. We tried working semi-off leash ( letting Aggie drag the leash while practicing commands) but he isnā€™t quite ready yet. He still gets a bit distracted and tries to break command. A little more work on his focus and he will be ready to start working off leash.

Today Aggie joined me on a shopping spree at The Block at Orange. He was a little nervous with all the commotion, so we worked on his commands on leash. After walking around and practicing his commands Aggie was able to relax and focus.

Today Aggie and I went to The Citadel Outlet to work on his off leash obedience around distractions. We met with other OffLeash SoCal trainers and their pups, so Aggie got to practice his commands around plenty of dog distractions. He did a great job! He was focused, obedient, and less nervous about the commotion than yesterday.

Today Aggie and I worked on his off leash obedience at home. I wanted to use his friends as a distraction while we practiced, but they ended up joining Aggie in his training. He did very well, even with his buddies running around and having fun. Aggie stayed focused. Once training was over he got to go and join in on the fun.

Today Aggie and I went to Lowes to work on his off leash obedience around distractions. He was a bit nervous with the loud noises in there, but he did very well with his commands. He stayed focused and followed all his commands. Aggie got a few compliments on how well behaved he is.

Happy Easter! Aggie took a break from training today and celebrated Easter with me and my family. He loved being the center of attention and all the affection from everyone. Aggie helped welcome in some new training members to our pack.

Today Aggie took the day off of training and spent his last day socializing and playing with his friends before he leaves. I gave him a bath so he could be clean when he returns home, but he didnā€˜t stay clean for very long. He ran around and wrestled with his friends, getting dirty again. Aggie canā€™t wait to go home tomorrow and show you everything he has learned!
