K9 First Aid & CPR Certified

Ever since Jesus was young, he had a fascination with all animals, especially dogs. Jesus once rescued a dog near the street he lived on and helped nurse her back to health.  From that point forward Jesus has wanted to help dogs in any way.

Jesus had an opportunity to expand his knowledge of dog training by attending ABC College where he successfully graduated with honors.  During his schooling, a counselor at ABC College became Jesus’ mentor outside of school and helped Jesus become a volunteer at Cesar Milan’s Dog Psychology Center in Santa Clarita, CA.  Jesus excelled as a volunteer and was hired full time in 2013.  Jesus taught at DPC various classes including Socialization 1, 2, and 3, Basic Obedience, Search and Rescue, and Sheep Herding.

In addition to working at DPC Jesus volunteered at Marley’s Mutts Pawsitive Change Prison Program.  The program is a progressive and intensive rehabilitation program which matches death row dogs with inmates inside California State Prisons.  The goal is to reduce inmate recidivism by providing the inmate with a viable skill, while at the same time saving the lives of dogs.
