Meet Aaliyah! Aaliyah is a California native who grew up in Northern California. She was never able to have a family dog growing up but always had a real passion for working with animals from an early age. Aaliyah started volunteering at her local animal shelters with her grandmother when she was twelve years old and continued to volunteer for almost 10 years before moving away from home. Aaliyah has done everything from outdoor rescue, to whelping puppies, to vaccines, spay/ neuter clinics, to behavior evaluations, to assisting with adoption. In addition to spending time working with large livestock from goats to horses. 
 
She got her first personal dog, a Rottweiler, when she was 18 years old and immediately started to train him. That dog ended up being a fantastic working companion and opened the door for Aaliyah to be able to work with some of the Bay Area’s most recognized trainers. Including “Cali K9” rated the Bay Area’s number one dog trainer for many consecutive years and known from the popular Netflix show ‘Canine Intervention’. As well as Dogz 101. Both training facilities have a 5-Star rating and countless reviews from happy clients and their pups. Working with high caliber trainers, she got into advanced obedience, then into dog sports like PSA and Schutzhund. Aaliyah competes with her personal dogs at a national level. 
 
Aaliyah has been officially training dogs as a professional since 2020 and has helped numerous owners with a variety of training issues from puppy manners to anxious dogs, severe aggression, and everything in between. Aaliyah truly has a passion for training dogs and helping handlers build a better relationship with the canines. Along with a line of understanding and communication with their pups through training.
